The Pilot Monitor system is a noncontact infrared sensor specifically designed to replace thermocouples for monitoring the presence of pilot flames. This system is installed at ground level to provide easy access for installaiton, operation and maintenance. Specific features include:

• A rugged mounitng base, through the lens sighting and an adjsutable swivel bracket that makes it easy to install and align the sensor.
• An auto tune feature t hat eliminates field sensitivity adjustments.
• A modular design and rugged NEMA4 (IP65) enclosure (NEMA7 optional) that provides protection from the environment and virtually maintenance-free operation.

Effecitive Pilot Flame Detection Under Difficult Conditions

The Pilot Monitor's unique high permormance dual-wavelength design provides unequalled performance  with dfficult operating conditions as compared to single-wavelength infrared pilot monitoring systems. These difficult condition include:

• wind blown pilot flames
• varyuing climate conditions
• the intervention fo fog, dust, wind rain, snow and smoke.
• varying flame radiation levels
• installation at great distances of up to 2000ft (500m)

The unuque dual-wavelength design compensates for difficult conditions becasue it has exceptional sensitivity to measure only the hottest temperature in insthe sensors's field of view.
