- Blast Air - Tuyere In blast furnaces, sensnors are mounted at the stove dome and along the side of the stove to verify the proper refractory temperatues and to eliminate overheating that can lead to excessive fuel costs and refractory wear. Williamson sensors provide more accurate measurements and require less maintenance than thermocouples.
