Multi-Wavelength Temperature Systems PRO 100 – Visual and Laser Aiming Alignment Options
PRO 200 – Fiber Optic Alignment with optional integrated aim light

Multi-wavelength sensors utilize ESP Algorithms to provide ‘aim and read’ capabilities for materials with complex emissivity characteristics that are not accurately measured by single and dual wavelength sensors.  This includes applications involving non-greybody materials such as aluminum, brass, chrome, copper, molybdenum, stainless steel, tin, titanium, tungsten, and zinc. In addition, these sensors can handle adverse application conditions such as intervening media, and small or wandering targets.

HIGH PERFORMANCE FEATURES

SOLUTIONS FOR MANY APPLICATIONS

  • Temperature limits of  200-4500°F (95-2500°C)
  • Accurate, reliable, repeatable measurements
  • Wide selection of temperature ranges and optics
  • Measures target temperature, signal strength (emissivity), signal dilution, and ambient temperature
  • Visual, laser, and fiber optic alignment options
  • A variety of installation and protective accessories

These advanced multi-wavelength sensors include ESP Technology that enables measurements with applications that were previously considered difficult to measure.  This includes the patented ESP Filters to filter out bad measurements as well as ESP Algorithms to compensate for complex emissivity characteristics.

These multi-wavelength sensors can be used for temperature monitoring or process control with applications the were previously considered difficult to measure. While ESP algorithms can be developed for new applications, the list of applications where ESP's already exist include:

  • Aluminum Extrusion Applications: Press Exit, Cut Face of Billet, Sheared Billets, Side of Billets, and Quench
  • Aluminum Rod and Bar Mills: Cast and Rolled Surfaces
  • Aluminum Rolling Mills: Strip, Coil, and Ingots
  • Galvanneal and Galvanized Steel Measurements
  • Glass Mold Measurements
  • Molten Aluminum Stream Measurements
  • Stainless Steel (Low and High Ni content)
  • Steel Annealing Lines (including High Strength Steels)
  • Brass & Copper Billets
